Enjoy a symphony of sweet and savory tastes with this delectable Honey Maple Glazed Bacon recipe. The combination of the honey’s natural sweetness and the rich, soothing undertones of maple syrup elevates ordinary bacon into a delectable treat. The aroma that fills the kitchen is nothing short of incredible—a combination of sizzling bacon and the tempting aromas of honey and maple, promising a gourmet journey.
The process begins with the creation of a delectable glaze that combines the golden sweetness of honey with the earthy richness of maple syrup. Looking to add a little heat to this recipe we used a hot honey infused with habanero chili pepper flakes. The bacon is then lavishly covered with this exquisite combination, with each slice perfectly absorbing the flavors.
The glaze caramelizes while the bacon cooks in the oven’s gentle heat, leaving a shiny, somewhat sticky exterior that tantalizes the senses. It is a sight to behold when it comes out of the oven—glistening, golden, and seductively appealing. By using the hot honey we expected there to be some element of heat, but there was none. Still, the first bite is a revelation, a symphony of sweet and salty, crispy yet delicate, as the glaze envelops your taste receptors in a lovely embrace.
The combination of flavors will leave you yearning for more, making this Honey Maple Glazed Bacon a breakfast favorite that never disappoints. Add this magnificent bacon to your breakfast table and appreciate the magic it offers at the start of your day—a touch of gourmet delight to the familiar, making every morning a memorable occasion.
Honey Maple Glazed Bacon
Ingredients:
1 pound bacon slices
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup maple syrup
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375°
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, mix the honey and maple syrup until well combined.
Place the bacon slices on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they do not overlap. Brush the honey and maple syrup mixture over each slice, coating them evenly.
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is caramelized and crispy.
After the first 10 minutes of baking, carefully flip each bacon slice and brush with more of the honey and maple syrup mixture.
Once the bacon is crispy and glazed to your liking, remove the baking sheet from the oven. Allow the bacon to cool for a few minutes on the parchment paper, then transfer it to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess grease.
Serve warm.
For outdoor cooking, use a Blackstone Griddle. Set the griddle temperature to medium-high and follow the baking steps above. I recommend Thick Cut Bacon when using this method.
